1. Information We Collect
We only collect the data needed to operate the service.
- Account details: Email address and hashed password you supply during registration.
- Tracker data: Work hours, wage entries, limits, reminders, and other settings you add while using the app.
- Logs: Basic request metadata such as IP, user agent, and timestamps to detect abuse and debug issues.
- Support records: If you choose to support the project on Ko-fi, Ko-fi processes your payment details. We may store a supporter flag in the app, but we do not store card numbers.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Authenticate you and secure your account.
- Store and display your work-hour history, SGA progress, and reminders.
- Send emails you request, such as password resets, confirmations, and reminders.
- Record supporter status if you choose to support the project.
- Monitor service health and prevent fraudulent use.
3. Data Retention
We keep your data while your account remains active. If you delete your account or request removal, we erase your tracker entries and account record within 30 days, except where retention is required for legal obligations.
4. Cookies & Local Storage
We use session cookies and optional local storage for things like theme preference and staying signed in. No third-party ad or tracking cookies are used.
5. Third-Party Services
Disability Wage Tracker integrates with a small set of providers, including Ko-fi for optional support payments and your hosting provider’s email infrastructure for transactional messages.
6. Security
We encrypt connections with HTTPS, hash passwords using modern algorithms, and limit administrative access. No system is perfectly secure, so please use strong unique passwords and keep your devices protected.
7. Your Choices & Rights
- Access & export: View or download your entries anytime from the Work History area.
- Correction: Update logged hours, wages, and settings directly in the app.
- Deletion: Contact support to remove your account and associated data.
- Email preferences: Toggle reminders on or off at any time.
8. Children’s Privacy
The service is intended for adults managing disability-related employment records. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy occasionally. When we do, we’ll update the effective date above and note the change within the app when appropriate.
